AI experts

LUT Universities are looking for two passionate AI experts who wants to be involved in shaping future technology and solving sustainability problems.

Job duties

Implementation and development of AI applications. You will participate in the implementation and development of AI solutions at LUT Universities. This includes, for example, the integration of advanced AI solutions such as GPT-3, GPT-4, DALL-E, Copilot, and Azure OpenAI into everyday use to support research and teaching. You will be involved in process development and in developing ways to utilize AI in teaching and research.

Research and experimentation. You are familiar with the application areas of generative AI and in experimenting with new methods. You will work in the IT team supporting researchers in their work, helping them, for example, to analyze research data or find new ways to use AI to solve environmental problems.

Programming and coding. You code fluently in Python, are familiar with the use of APIs, and are familiar with environments such as Azure OpenAI. You will use your expertise, for example, in the development of applications that utilize generative AI.

We expect from the applicant

• Strong expertise in the field of AI. You have experience in the implementation of AI applications and understand the basics of AI
• Suitable education
• Enthusiasm for learning new things and applying your skills. You are interested in new solutions and want to be involved in developing the best practices in the field
• Good programming skills. Python is a familiar language to you, and you can use other programming languages as well
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You have also ability to explain complex AI concepts and techniques to different audiences
• Fluent command of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Finnish is also an asset

The work is located on the Lappeenranta or Lahti campus. Partial remote work is possible.

The work will begin as soon as possible by agreement. The employment relationship is permanent and full-time. The position has a six-month trial period.
