International School of Vantaa is looking for a resource teacher working alongside our special needs teacher team.

We are looking for a resource teacher to work with a fixed term contract during the academic 2024 – 2025 at International School of Vantaa. 

International School of Vantaa is a multicultural comprehensive school with over 600 students. The school provides English-language instruction for grades 1 – 9. The students’ home language is English, or they have acquired a good English proficiency by other means. The students are admitted to the school based on a language test.

Our curricula are based on the National Core Curriculum for Basic Education. Our goal is to raise well-behaving students with versatile general knowledge who can function in English in a global environment.

Kelpoisuusvaatimus: Opetustoimen henkilöstön kelpoisuusvaatimuksista annetun asetuksen 986/1998 mukainen kelpoisuus.Excellent English skills and ability to work in cooperation with other teachers.

Kelpoisuusvaatimuksen lisäksi edellytämme: We are looking for a teacher who is a positive team player with good collaboration, student engagement and communication skills. We expect flexibility, ability to take initiative and excellent English skills. You are able to work both independently and as part of a group with a positive and proactive approach to daily tasks and long-term projects. You are able to document your work and implement plans into action.

Luemme eduksi: We offer you a supportive and progressive global work community as well as interesting teaching and education tasks in a modern learning environment. We value knowledge of school coach/community counselor tasks as well as knowledge of youth/child services and education in Finland. Understanding and knowledge of special needs education processes are also an asset and working with drop out students in basic education. Knowledge of Finnish language is an asset but not a requirement. At ISV you receive an extra payment for teaching in English which is about 160 euros/month.

Palvelussuhteen ehdot määräytyvät Kunnallisen opetushenkilöstön virka- ja työehtosopimuksen (OVTES) mukaisesti.

Koeaika: Tehtävässä noudatetaan 6 kuukauden koeaikaa
