Group Health & Safety Manager

Luvata is a leading provider of copper solutions and related engineering services to different industries, including automotive, science, electronics, power generation and distribution, renewable energy and healthcare. Luvata employs over 1400 people in 6 countries and continuously develops its operations and work safety. 

Luvata Oy is now looking for a Group Health & Safety Manager. 

The appointed person will report to Luvata Group’s Business Development Director and the position will be based in Luvata headquarters in Pori, Finland (varying remote and local work).

Profile

• Minimum: ~5 years of HSE experience working in industrial environments, likely in medium level management. Availability for travelling.
• Preferred: Proven track record in proactively reducing workplace incidents and ensuring regulatory compliance. Strong experience in implementing safety training programs and risk assessment initiatives.
• Education: minimum requirement Bachelor’s degree in related field

Main Tasks

• Oversee Group Health & Safety initiatives.
• Tailor existing safety audit program to fit Luvata Industry types and risks.
• Facilitate and follow up regular reviews with local Manufacturing Unit Health & Safety representatives. 
• Provide safety best practice and benchmarks by industry type &/or type of risk/ accident.
• Validate accident investigation reports monitoring the corrective actions proposed by the local Manufacturing Units.
• Work closely with Corporate Responsibility and Group Communications to spread a culture of Safety First and Health & Safety Awareness.
• Participate in Group sustainability initiatives, especially in the areas of Health & Safety.
