We were the first tyre company to eliminate the use of harmful oils in our tire compounds, and we did so without compromising the grip and safety of our tyres. We only use purified oils in our tyre production; no toxic or carcinogenic chemicals. In 2021, Nokian Tyres set an ambitious target: by the year 2030, 50% of all the raw materials used in its tyres will be recycled or renewable. Last year we introduced the most sustainable tyre; the Nokian Tyres Green Step concept tyre, whichis a masterpiece of sustainable innovation with its ambitious design consisting of 93% of the materials either recycled or renewable.

We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Manager Heavy Tyres for United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland (f/m/d)

What will be your role?

YYou are promoting Nokian industrial products (PC24) on British and Irish territory in accordance with Group and management policy. Manage the portfolio of existing customers and develop the business with prospects. Promote the brand among agricultural, forestry, public works, port and truck Companies. Deploys Nokian’s strategy to tire dealer networks. Support Nokian distributors to develop their sales.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Manage existing PC24 customers portfolio according to Nokian policy.
  • Develop sales to prospects in areas defined by management for all Nokian Tyres products (Tires, tubes, wheels, etc.).
  • Promote Nokian Tyres’ image and renown to customers (tyre dealers, etc.).
  • Insure a permanent field presence with end-users.
  • Promote Nokian among OE customer (direct and indirect).
  • Support & Train Nokian Wholesalers sales teams.
  • Support technical customer service within the claim handling process.
  • Analyze and understand customers’ needs in order to identify solutions.
  • Collect and analyze field information (commercial, technical, competitive, etc.) and specificities of each area.
  • Be proactive in the development and deployment of commercial actions in accordance with Group guidelines.
  • Be proactive for new products development.
  • Report on commercial activity according to Group and management request.
  • Be present on the main fairs, company or customers events related to area of activities.
  • Organize corporate promotion events.

To be successful in this position, you need to have Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Premium ability to prospect and retain customer. 
  • Mastery of distribution, sales and promotion techniques related to the industrial Tyre market. 
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of people, cultures and market approaches. 
  • Ability to develop business proposals in accordance with Nokian Tyres Group and Management policy. 
  • Ability to close sales and track project progress. 
  • Experienced Knowledge in Key Account Management of customers.
  • Ability to develop sales on the most competitive market of heavy segment.
  • Adaptability to diverse cultures and business approaches. 
  • Autonomy in working organization and daily business. 
  • Ability to travel frequently within UK, Ireland.
  • Be pragmatic and analytical. Allocate Nokian resource with efficiency. Build a long-term strategy, and cooperation with Key Account Customers.
  • Very good English skills (C1 level at least).
