Senior Planner for a data center project

We are looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join our team for an exciting new data center construction project in Helsinki metropolitan area, Finland. This is a long-term employment opportunity with a project expected to last several years.

What are the main responsibilities?

In the role of Senior Planner, your responsibilities include managing project planning, developing and maintaining schedules for all phases. You will report to the Planning Department and Business Unit/Project Management. You will develop progress databases, conduct milestone projections, and manage earned value management systems. You will monitor schedule performance and productivity, and audit site progress. You will liaise with clients and subcontractors, prepare tender schedules, and lead planning meetings. You will ensure the quality and accuracy of schedules and reports, provide data for payment applications, and support claims and contractual disputes. You will manage and develop staff as needed, and cover Planning Manager and Project Planner responsibilities when required.

What do we expect from you?

The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in planning large-scale construction projects and be proficient in using Primavera P6, Earned Value Management, and Excel. They must have a clear understanding of construction methodologies and sequences and be capable of producing programs to plan and monitor works based on necessary information (drawings, models, SOW, etc.). The candidate should be capable of managing large-scale projects with minimal supervision, highly motivated, a self-starter, and able to work well both independently and within a team. Additionally, they must be clear communicators and able to work effectively within strict deadlines. Good communication skills in English are required, and Finnish language skills are a plus.
