As a subsidiary of Mehiläinen, the leading private healthcare company in Finland, BeeHealthy draws on 110+ years of experience in healthcare and 20+ years of experience in developing digital services and software inhouse. BeeHealthy has just started its journey and is in a strong growth mode. We are currently +80 dedicated professionals based in Helsinki, Tallinn, Amsterdam and Dubai, expanding both domestically in Finland and across the EMEA region.
As we are now growing our dynamic software development team, we need your management capabilities to successfully deliver the BeeHealthy platform to our customers and help them in building new digital businesses with our platform. Your key responsibilities as an Engineering Manager will include:
An engineering manager is someone who ensures that the engineering projects they’ve been assigned are completed and general engineering duties are fulfilled. An engineering manager is themselves an engineer and will sometimes need to get their hands dirty, but in general they fulfil their role by directing the work of the engineers who report to them.
Team Management and Leadership:
Supervisor of the team’s developers and responsible for their performance and career progression
Ensuring that the team’s output is documented according to shared guidelines and principles
Technology transformation in relation to the product and making sure the team’s skills are up to date
Product and Technical Understanding
Understanding the product they work with thoroughly and understand its key business drivers
Ability to code their product
Operational Management
In charge of making sure that the team operates smoothly day-to-day and delivers quality products
Ensuring that escalations are managed effectively, both technically and operationally
Planning and Coordination
Managing the team’s backlog and prioritizing weekly tasks with the team.
Facilitating the team’s technical planning sessions and responsible of the workload estimation.
Release planning of new functionalities
Communication and Collaboration
Collaborating closely with product management and customer engagement ensuring that engineering efforts align with broader business and product goals
Communication and reporting the progress of development to stakeholders (e.g., support, customer team, customers)
Working closely with the customer interface

What we’re looking for:
You have a strong understanding of OAuth, OpenID, SAML, JWT, IdP, SCIM 2.0, and roles/permissions, with a clear understanding of their implications for software and security.
The ideal candidate will have experience with identity and access management platforms such as Auth0, Okta, Ping, or Keycloak, and familiarity with service providers like suomi.fi, Signicat, and similar offerings.
You should also have a basic understanding of eIDAS and its relevance.
Strong expertise and experience in the following: Node.js, Typescript, React and relational databases
Strong interpersonal skills: You are a collaborative team player who is honest, self-aware, and able to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. You show patience, trust in others, and a positive attitude.
A passion for improving healthcare systems globally. Experience in the healthcare or digital healthcare sectors is a significant advantage.
Excellent communication skills in English.
