Head Chef, Gaijin

Located at the corner of Bulevardi and Yrjönkatu, Gaijin boldly combines modern flavors with traditional aromas from Japan, Korea, and Northern China.

As Head Chef, you will lead the kitchen’s operational activities, manage a team of top professionals in the culinary field, and play a key role as a results-driven leader in developing the restaurant unit’s operations.

We expect the candidate to have a minimum of five years of leadership experience in the field, or two years in a similar managerial role, broad professional expertise, excellent social skills, and a firm yet fair attitude. We value the ability to lead by example, a desire to improve operations, and of course, a burning passion for food. Excellent gastronomic knowledge, an understanding of industry key performance indicators, and familiarity with personnel management are essential for succeeding in this role. Our working language in the kitchen is English (knowledge of Finnish is an advantage but not a requirement).
