Application Security Lead

We are looking for an experienced Application Security Lead to join our Compliance & Security team and take ownership of application security across our digital healthcare services.
In this role, you will embed security into software development and work closely with teams to ensure that applications are designed, built and maintained securely in a modern, fast-moving environment.
What you will do
– Set application security requirements and guardrails for modern software development in the AI era – Own and develop application security practices, tools and automation – Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews for new and changing applications – Support teams in understanding and remediating application vulnerabilities and security findings – Act as the security reviewer for high-risk application architectures, APIs and integrations – Stay up to date with developments in the AppSec space and bring relevant improvements into use – Apply AI to reduce manual work in the application security domain
What we are looking for
– Deep understanding of AI driven software development – Strong experience in application security and secure software development – Hands-on experience with application vulnerabilities and their remediation – Ability to assess application architectures, APIs and integrations for security risks – Experience with modern application environments, such as cloud-native and API-driven systems – Experience embedding security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows – Experience in leading and influencing others beyond individual contribution – Ability to work closely with developers and provide clear, actionable security guidance – Ability to make risk-based security decisions in complex environments, balancing risk reduction with business needs and delivery realities – Interest in designing, building or evaluating offensive security techniques and tooling – Ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders in Finnish and in English
