The City of Seinäjoki’s education department is currently hiring for a temporary position at Seinäjoen lukio.

Fluent English Teacher (Temporary position from January 7 to July 31, 2026)

The role involves teaching advanced English at the upper secondary level. We value candidates with the ability, experience, and enthusiasm to develop English instruction collaboratively with other professionals in the school. A diverse pedagogical skill set is considered an advantage.
Seinäjoen lukio has over 900 students, and the adult education program has approximately 100 students. The school actively participates in developing upper secondary education in Finland and maintains close cooperation, both regionally and nationally, with other secondary education institutions.

We are seeking a knowledgeable individual for this position, with expertise in upper secondary education being an advantage. The candidate should be able to work well with students and staff. Experience working in a high school setting is also considered beneficial.
Salary will be in accordance with the OVTES collective agreement.

Requirements include meeting the qualification criteria for education personnel as specified in the regulation (December 14, 1998/986).
