Wilderness Guide Position Now Available at Northern Lights Village Levi!The Northern Lights Village brand was born in 2016 and since then we have opened three resorts in Finnish Lapland. We appreciate the insight of every individual and see our employees as our most valuable resource.Our guests are truly international and so is our team, speaking all together 17 languages! About the RoleWe are seeking for outgoing Wilderness Guides with a cheery personality to join our company. This position is perfect for people with a passion for nature, outdoors, and adventure, to grow their career at the Northern Lights VillageKey Responsibilities
Greeting customers and providing excellent customer service
Offering thermal clothing, giving instructions and briefing guests about activities
Leading outdoor activities and excursions, tailored to the guests’ interests and level of experience
Ensuring the safety and comfort of all participants, providing first aid assistance if needed

Sharing extensive knowledge of the local flora, fauna, geography, and culture
Teaching essential wilderness survival skills
Photographing northern lights with guests
Following company policies and procedures
Ability to work independently, and as a team
Maintaining and caring for outdoor gear and equipment, as well as cleanliness of the safari house
Reporting possible damages and / or accidents
Requirements
Experience as a wilderness guide or in a similar role
Valid B drivers’ license
Fluent written and spoken English
First Aid certificate
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work outdoors, in cold temperatures
Friendly personality
Knowledge of Finnish Lapland
Desirable Qualifications
Training in wilderness education or related field
Photography skills
Previous customer service experience
Other language skills in addition to English

Pay, Duration and Benefits

Start: November End: March
Minimum 90 working hours per 3 weeks period
Hourly pay negotiated in an interview, according to knowledge and experience
Other benefits according to the collective labor agreement
If necessary, the resort provides accommodation in a shared room for €250,00/month
