Outdoor Test Engineer

We’re looking for Outdoor Test Engineer who possesses analytical mind set and hands-on attitude for outdoor measurement activities to work at our Heavy Tyres Tire Technical Department in Nokia, Finland.

Nokian Heavy Tyres is looking for what’s beyond the next generation of tires and wheels. You will be part of our testing team and our department is part of Nokian Heavy Tyres R&D department. In your role, you are mainly responsible for organizing and managing outdoor testing for heavy tires.

Key responsibilities:

• Organize, manage and supervise heavy tires outdoor testing for R&D testing and accreditation testing done inhouse and with external partners
• Lead and perform continuous improvements for outdoor test methods, maintaining the measurement capabilities and performing development activities with LabVIEW-measurement software
• Further development outdoor tests for R&D needs together with team
• Manage type approval tests as a member of accredited measurement laboratory

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, knowledge of vehicle technology is a benefit
• Knowledge of measurement methods and measurement software (LabVIEW) is a benefit
• Finnish and English language is a must, Spain and/or German are advantage
• Willingness to travel to test locations in Finland and abroad (estimated amount of traveling is 40-60 days/year)
• Proficiency with Microsoft O365 office tools
