Head of Procurement Excellence

We are looking for Head of Procurement Excellence to Mehiläinen group in Helsinki.

Are you ready to step into a truly transformational leadership role? Reporting directly to our Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), you’ll be instrumental in elevating our procurement organization to world-class performance. You’ll achieve this by driving cutting-edge strategy, optimizing critical processes, leveraging advanced analytics, and spearheading our digitization efforts. Your mission will be to translate procurement strategy into tangible financial outcomes, champion data-driven decision-making, and build the scalable frameworks that fuel Mehiläinen’s ambitious growth and M&A agenda.

Key responsibilitiesinclude:
Strategic Leadership & Performance Management:Defining procurement strategy, setting KPIs, and utilizing market intelligence.

Operating Model & Process Excellence:Designing and improving end-to-end procurement processes (S2P) and operating models, ensuring governance and compliance.

Financial Governance & Value Creation:Collaborating with FP&A on savings tracking, managing the procurement initiative pipeline, and providing executive reporting.

Digitization & Analytics:Developing and executing the digital transformation roadmap, acting as product owner for procurement systems, and building advanced analytics capabilities.

Organizational Development & Transformation:Building team capabilities, leading change, supporting M&A integration, and managing cross-functional programs.

The role carriesfull budget responsibilityfor the function and will lead a growing team.

Requirementsinclude:
Education:Masters degree in a relevant field (Business Admin, Finance, Supply Chain).

Experience:Minimum 10 years in strategic procurement, supply chain, finance, or consulting leadership, with a proven track record in transformational change, ideally in healthcare or complex multi-site organizations.

Expertise:Deep understanding of procurement operating models, S2P processes, data/analytics, KPIs, savings methodologies, and financial processes.

Skills:Strong financial acumen, process excellence (Lean, Six Sigma a plus), program/project management (traditional and agile), comprehensive S2P domain knowledge, digital/analytics/product ownership experience, and excellent executive communication. Professional English proficiency is required.
