Service Manager
Our client in media sector is currently looking for a versatile and confident Project/Service Manager who can easily adapt to a challenging environment and support on multiple projects (Web shops) at once in eCommerce area. The selected person would need to understand the solutions of domain and technical aspects in order to deliver defined projects on time.
The selected candidate brings knowledge and experience of the service management, software architecture, cloud services and API management. You need to create project plans, organize resources and help to define scopes for client’s ongoing and future plans with the team.
In this position the person will work closely and support eCommerce and PIM Domain Owner in delivering projects. In addition, work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
• Participate in projects by delivering leadership, solution-oriented thinking and structure for internal and external teams to rely on.
• Bridge the gap between our platform team and various OpCo’s end-to-end responsibilities for the application development, operation, and maintenance
• Lead supplier work according to their contracts
• Coordinate troubleshooting, support and service
• Maintain relationships with technology, software, and security vendors
• Maintain familiarity with current and upcoming compliance requirements & regulation, services, and other developments in own area.
Experience Required:
• Experience in Project Management supporting Development Projects in IT organizations is a must have
• A minimum of 3 years work experience as Service Manager or in a comparable role
• Project management certifications such IPMA, PMP
• Understanding of technical aspects of the projects
• Experience in Scrum and Agile Project Management
• Knowledge about eCommerce and/or Product Information management area is seen as benefit
• Experience working in an international setting with distributed application development teams
• Demonstrated cross functional knowledge and collaboration, i.e. ability to look at the end to end process and understand how it fits together.
Attitude & general skill (non-technical):
• Strong communicator and team player experienced in Agile way-of-working and Scrum
• Being a good sparring partner for Domain Owner as well as process experts/key users
• Drives for result and has problem solving ability
• Thrive to work effectively and independently
• Must be detail oriented, a self-starter and a strong team player
• Flexible and adaptable in the face of changing priorities or circumstances
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities in good relation with stakeholders and team
• Ability to make decisions and be accountable for actions
• Excellent verbal and written communication and time management
• Copes well under pressure and with uncertainty

Duration: Until June 2025
Language: fluent written and spoken English
Allocation: 100%
Location:
• either Finland Sanoma Pro office in Ruoholahti (mandatory 1 day per week in the office)
• or the Netherlands Sanoma Learning office in s’Hertogenbosch (1 day per week in the office)
