Personal assistant for nightshifts

Hi!

I am a 34 year old male who has a muscular astrophy and uses electric wheelchair. I am looking for a personal assistant primarily for night shifts.

The currently open position has an average work time of about 35 hours per week over the balancing period. A typical night shift is from 11 PM to 9 AM and so far the schedule has usually been one week work one week off. The work would start somewhere in October-November.

I live in Herttoniemi near the metro, work as a software developer and my hobbies include e.g. music production. Please note, that the assistants work often starts and ends in a different places (e.g. starts at my home and end at my workplace), so it is adviced to use public transportation for commuting instead of a car.

The role of my assistant is to assist me in all the everyday tasks, such as eating, dressing up, going to stores and city, going to bathroom etc. In other words, to function as my hands and feet when needed. The job is usually quite relaxed, naturally especially at night time. The job is not about caretaking, socializing or such, but mostly physical help in my guidance.

There are no strict requirements for the job. I hope you are responsible, situationally/socially aware and very reliable. You need to be very fluent in either English or Finnish. The work usually does not include lifting me by hand, but a reasonable physical fitness is still useful.

I would personally be your employer. The salary will be paid by the city of Helsinki based on the higher paygrade B1 of the collective labor agreement of HETA union. Currently that is 13.21 e/h plus evening bonus 15%, night bonus 30%, Saturday bonus 25% and Sunday bonus 100%.
