The Hotel Maria, situated in Kruununhaka district of Helsinki, offers a distinctive choice for those who appreciate Nordic hospitality and refined luxury. We are now seeking
dedicated and service-driven team members to join our team for the summer period of 2025. As our summer employee, we are expecting you to be able to work throughout the summer, at least until mid-August, without periods of absence. As our hotel operates 24/7, you must be prepared to work on weekends and holidays in different shifts.

· A minimum age of 18 years
· Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
· A positive, service-oriented mindset
· Preferably, experience in the hospitality industry
· Strong communication skills
· The ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
· A systematic yet adaptable approach to work
· A proactive attitude in maintaining a clean and efficient workspace
· Fluency in English (Finnish proficiency is preferred; additional languages are a plus)
· A commitment to delivering Forbes-level luxury service

Employment contract and working hours:
These positions are fixed term approximately 90 hours / 3 weeks, starting flexible during April-May, depending on your life situation. In some positions we have even the possibility to offer a continuation after the summer, with an hourly contract.
Recruitment is done together with our partner Eezy, however contracts are signed directly with The Hotel Maria.

Breakfast waiters
Ability to start shifts early in the morning and commute to work on time, ensuring seamless breakfast service.
A warm, professional and service-oriented approach to create a welcoming experience for guests.
Ability to manage multiple tables, take orders accurately and serve guests promptly in a fast-paced environment.
Ensuring that tables are impeccably set, orders are correct, and guest preferences are remembered for a personalized experience.
Strong coordination with kitchen and service staff to deliver a seamless and high-standard breakfast service.
À la carte waiters
Ability to provide personalized service, anticipate guest needs and confidently recommend dishes, wines and pairings to enhance the dining experience.
Understanding of the menu, ingredients, cooking methods and wine pairings to answer guest inquiries and make recommendations.
Ensuring accurate order-taking, impeccable table settings and flawless service presentation to meet luxury hospitality standards.
Ability to handle multiple tables, coordinate with the kitchen and deliver a seamless, timely service in a fast-paced environment.
A polished and professional demeanor, excellent communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues to ensure a top-tier guest experience.
Bar waiter
Ability to provide a welcoming, professional and personalized experience while recommending and upselling drinks, cocktails and premium spirits.
Understanding of classic and signature cocktails, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic options to confidently advise guests.
Ensuring drinks are served with precision, garnishes are flawless, and tables are impeccably maintained to meet luxury standards.
Ability to manage multiple tables, take orders accurately and coordinate with bartenders for smooth and timely service.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with bartenders, kitchen staff and colleagues while maintaining a polished, service-oriented demeanor.
Front desk receptionists
A warm, welcoming and service-oriented approach, ensuring every guest feels valued from arrival to departure.
Ability to handle guest inquiries, special requests and complaints with grace, efficiency and discretion.
Ensuring accurate check-ins/check-outs, billing, reservations and handling of guest preferences to deliver a seamless experience.
Managing multiple tasks, including phone calls, emails and guest interactions, while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferably proficiency in hotel systems (Opera / Opera Cloud).
Porters
A friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to make a great first impression, helping guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive.
Ability to handle luggage, assist with transportation needs and manage physical tasks like loading and unloading with care and efficiency.
Ensuring that luggage is handled safely and efficiently, and personal belongings are delivered to the correct rooms or locations without error.
Familiarity with hotel amenities, services and local attractions, allowing you to assist guests with information and directions.
Collaborating effectively with other hotel departments (front desk, housekeeping, etc.) to provide a seamless and positive experience for guests.
A valid driving license is preferred for handling valet parking duties, ensuring a smooth experience for guests arriving by car.
