Role summary:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer Lead is the senior hands-on mechanical operations leader responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all mechanical infrastructure within a large-scale, 24/7 data centre in Finland. This role owns mechanical operational excellence across cooling, airflow management, water/fluid systems, controls/BAS, and mechanical interfaces to life-safety systems, while partnering closely with the Electrical Engineering Lead and Chief Engineer to protect critical load, execute change control, and deliver best-in-class uptime.

You will lead mechanical planned and preventative maintenance execution (including annual maintenance calendar inputs), take command during mechanical incidents and emergency maintenance, and drive structured root cause analysis with permanent corrective actions. You will mentor shift engineers, coordinate vendors and service partners, support mechanical design implementation and commissioning/handover activities, and work with customers and internal engineering teams to create an excellent operations environment and enable future expansions.
