We are looking for an Automation Engineer for our client, ABB Oy. In this role, you will adapt Remote Control System (RCS) solutions for bridge and vessel projects, integrate them with onboard systems, and conduct Factory Acceptance Testing with clients. About the role

As an Automation Engineer, you will customize the root code to meet specific project requirements, ensure seamless integration of other onboard systems, and manage the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) process to validate system performance. Additionally, you will review and interpret electrical drawings, follow established testing protocols, and maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams throughout each project.

We are looking for

– Suitable educational background (e.g. automation or electrical engineering)
– Experience from programming (PLC) and system integration
– Strong knowledge of IEC 61131-3 Standard
– Proficient in reading schematics and supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
– Fluent english skills

Beneficial qualifications

– Experience with Siemens, Omron, Beckhoff or Schneider or similar
– Familiarity with HMI tools for facilitating operator-machine interaction
– As advantage proficiency with communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus and CAN
