Technical Service Representative Automotive Finishes

  • Serves as an operational expert to customers by applying comprehensive quality tools and analytical concepts to assist with improving product quality, efficiency, and line design.
  • Responds to expert comprehensive questions and concerns from the customer regarding product lines and general operations; operates under no supervision and solves comprehensive problems.
  • Provides technical direction and assistance to internal and external customers on the use of the product lines; operations involve multiple or complex locations, and the application of multiple technologies.
  • Serves as a peer with sales by interacting with line and management personnel, developing a complete understanding of needs and operations, and providing observations and leads to sales; receives direction from other personnel when required.
  • Performs broad account management activities by maintaining and creating new sales, facilitating orders, developing relationships with all levels of management, and resolving problems in conjunction with sales or other technical personnel.
  • Develop weekly visiting plan and reports and conduct sales calls accordingly, occasionally in conjunction with the Sales Manager/ Managing Director.
  • Complete required reports on a timely basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Utilizing comprehensive industry and product applications concepts, and procedures.
  • Giving technical product and industry presentations.
  • Applying expert technical principles and practices within the business group.
  • Comfortable working with all levels of personnel and management.

  • Minimum Three years, preferably Five years of experience as a Technical Service Representative
  • High school graduate or equivalent education and experience. Higher level education in a related field preferred.
  • A refinish or coatings background is an advantage.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a track record in a customer facing role
  • Experience in international organization will be valuable.
  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applications as required.
  • Open to travelling 80% of time.
  • Advanced English language skills
