Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Manager, Modernization Solutions at ABB Motion Services. Our service division consists of 150 professionals across the country. Motion Services division has the leading expertise in drives, motors and generators life cycle management.
Manager, Modernization Solutions, will oversee the modernization service portfolio, which consists of retrofits and replacements of motors and drives. You will drive the growth of our service business by developing a strategic roadmap for Modernization Solutions, leveraging market insights, pricing strategies, and customer segmentation. Additionally, you will be responsible for building local competency in connection with ABB technology.
You will collaborate closely with our Sales and Marketing team, providing expertise in modernization solutions, application-specific support, pricing, CRM processes, and sales materials.

This position reports to Solutions Team Manager.
You will be mainly accountable for:
– Developing the Modernization Solutions business in line with the strategic plan
– Building and executing sales plans for replacement business of large motors and drives
– Conducting market & white spot analysis for modernization portfolio
– Creating business and cost models, including the packaging and bundling of services and solutions
– Adapting and localizing global sales material
– Defining and maintaining locally tailored delivery processes and document
– Screening and analyzing the installed base for long-term business opportunities
– Collaborating closely with other Motion divisions and ABB business areas on Modernization business
Qualifications for the role:
– Proficiency in business development, preferably within service sector
– Solid background in sales or sales support
– Expertise in motors and drives is advantageous
– Customer-focused and service-oriented mind-set
– Willingness to collaborate closely with clients and effectively communicate and offer new solutions
– Strong understanding of how to motivate cross-functional teams
– Excellent interpersonal skills; highly collaborative and adept at managing uncertainty in complex issues and differing viewpoints
– Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English
– B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field
