Husky safari guide

Husky Co. is one of the most known outdoor activity companies in the Inari region.
For the season 2024/2025 we are looking for energetic people to join our international team.
We will appreciate an outgoing person with a teamwork attitude and customer service skills.
Our kennel has about 200 mainly Alaskan huskies, some Siberians also.
Our main program is 10km safari, as well we do 5km and 18km.
We do not separate people to handlers and mushers, everyone does everything.
On the tours, usually there are always 2 or more guides, so one meets the group and other(s) handles the dogs and in the afternoon – opposite, so we have nice rotation

Work day starts at 7am and we are done 4pm more or less.

Very important – we guide with snowmobiles on most of the tours, and usually in spring time, when we are out of the busy season, there is possibility to guide with the dog team.
Snowmobiles are comfortable and new.

The job includes:
-kennel work/dog care (feeding, cleaning etc)
-guiding on the tours
-interacting with customers
-sometimes transportation of the customers to/from the farm (short distances)
-small maintenance tasks if needed at the kennel

What we are hoping to find:
-friendly person towards both – dogs and people
-experienced or very motivated to learn person
-physically strong person
-motivated to learn and/or improve person
-not too shy person, as in winter you would need to speak with customers
– Fluent English speaking is a must
-responsible, team player able to see what is happening around
-person with a valid driving licence
-first aid course certificate.

-working gear – shoes, pants, fleece, hoodie, winter jacket, spring jacket, shell jacket, working gloves, first aid pachage, backpack for work. You need to have own thermal underwear, knife of multitool, headlamp and hat.
