We are now looking for a Test Engineer to join our client Konecranes to develop the next generation of digital services for a large fleet of connected machines. About the role:
As a Test Engineer, you will join Konecrane’s Digital Experience Platform team in the Digital Center of Excellence. In this role, you will work in a cross-functional team that develops new Konecranes digital services and solutions. You will participate in all stages of software development and operational process, specifically: service concepting, MVP development, test automation development, security, and operations. Your main responsibilities are test planning, complimenting the DevOps environment through test automation development, and software testing around customer-facing digital solutions. These solutions incorporate various data sources: Machine IoT data, Field services data, CRM data, ML algorithms, etc. through modern API interfaces. As part of a feature team, you will participate in feature team daily practices and be involved in multiple development projects with cross-team dependencies.

Work tasks:
– Development of test plans for the upcoming features and ensuring adherence to it
– Design the tests and test cases with approaches like behavior driven development (BDD) and Data Driven testing
– Create test automations with different tools like Robot framework and Postman
– Integrate testing to be part of deployment pipeline
– Document and maintain testcases by using test management system

– Understand and translate business requirements into test automation tasks
– Two-way stakeholder communication with product owners for development transparency and meeting stakeholder expectations
– Knowledge of basic testing principles and experience on software testing and creating test automations
– Participating Portfolio/Backlog Management and backlog grooming, sprint planning and demos, testing practices improvement projects

We are looking for:
– Fluent English skills
– Suitable education, bachelor’s or master’s degree level preferably in computer science
– Experience in testing in agile development
– Experience with some of the testing and test management technologies: Adaptavist/Zephyr, Robot Framework, Selenium, Zed Attack Proxy, Browser stack, JMeter
– Experience in implementing test automation for web applications/services or mobile native application
– Experience in DevOps processes and tools in development environments e.g. GIT, Jenkins
– API testing using Postman or similar tools
– Good understanding of the testing practices: TDD, BDD, Data-Driven testing
– Basic understanding of Security Testing (active and passive)
