Join the culinary leadership team at Restaurant Tar, set in the stunning location of Tervasaari. As we prepare to unveil our new venue this spring, were seeking an experienced Sous Chef who is passionate about culinary excellence and ready to help lead our kitchen to new heights.
Your Role:
As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to manage daily kitchen operations and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation. This position is ideal for a dynamic culinary professional looking to advance their career in a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen staff and coordinating all kitchen activities.
* Oversee and elevate food preparation, presentation, and menu development.
* Maintain inventory levels and order supplies while managing food and labor costs.
* Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques and best practices.
* Step in for the Head Chef during their absence and maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a fast-paced culinary environment.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team of culinary professionals.
* Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen management and culinary operations.
* Excellent cooking skills with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Culinary school diploma or equivalent professional experience.
