Waiters / Waitresses for Winter Season 20262027

We are looking for **waiters and waitresses for lunch and dinner service** for the winter season 20262027.

**What your workday looks like**

No two days are exactly the same, and details vary slightly between our locations but this gives you a good idea:

**Midday lunch service** Guests enjoy their day at a relaxed holiday pace, and lunch is an easygoing and social moment. Service is often buffet-style, combined with bar service many guests like to complement their meal with a drink and take their time enjoying the moment.

**Afternoon preparing for the evening** After lunch, the focus shifts to preparation: setting tables, polishing cutlery, restocking the bar, and getting everything ready for dinner service.

**Evening dinner service** Depending on the location, dinner can include buffet, à la carte, or a combination of both. In some restaurants, main courses are served plated; in others, guests enjoy a high-quality buffet.

Alongside food service, youll also work with drinks recommending wines, suggesting aperitifs, and helping guests find combinations that elevate their dining experience.

And then there are the moments you dont expect: a full restaurant can suddenly pause when something spectacular happens outside and everyone wants to be part of it. Can you guess what is happening?

**Late evening bar atmosphere** After dinner, the bar stays lively. Guests gather by the fireplace, enjoy cocktails, play board games, or warm up after evening excursions with hot drinks.

**What youll be doing (in short)**

– Serving guests during lunch and dinner

– Working with buffet and/or à la carte service

– Taking care of bar service and drinks

– Preparing the restaurant for service

– Creating a smooth and welcoming guest experience

**We take service seriously**

For us, good service is not an extra its the starting point of everything.

This also means working together as a team. Season work is at its best when theres a good flow, shared energy, and people supporting each other. When the team enjoys working together, it shows and our guests can feel it too.

We appreciate a professional attitude and pride in doing things properly. This role suits you especially well if you already have experience in restaurant service but above all, if you genuinely care about the quality of service.

**What we expect from you**

– A positive and professional attitude

– Ability to work in a fast-paced seasonal environment

– Good teamwork skills

– Willingness to learn and adapt

– English language skills (other languages are a plus)

**Finnish alcohol serving licence (anniskelupassi)** is considered an advantage, but not required. At least one person in each shift must have it. If youre interested in completing it, let us know in your application we may be able to support this.

**What you get from this experience**

Working in Lapland is more than just a job.

Our hotels are located in the municipality of Inari, 250350 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. Here, winter is something you can truly experience.

During the season, you will live through:

– a proper snowy winter

– the polar night, when the sun doesnt rise for weeks

– and the moment when sunlight finally returns something people here genuinely celebrate

We want you to also have the time and energy to experience all of this not just work through it.

Youll also have access to Wilderness Hotels employee benefits, designed to support your daily life and make your season smoother.

**Salary and benefits**

– Starting salary: **2350 €/month** (**14.77 €/hour**) + supplements

– Final salary depends on your experience and education

– Wilderness Hotels employee benefits

**Working hours bank (tuntipankki):** You will have a working hours bank system in use. This means that your working hours may vary during the season, and extra hours worked during busier periods can be saved and taken as time off later. If any hours remain unused at the end of your employment, they will be paid out.

**Staff accommodation is available if needed.** Our apartments are well-maintained and fully equipped in practice, you can arrive with just your essentials and warm clothing. During the winter season, accommodation is shared (two people per room), so its good to be prepared for communal living.
