Hänninen has started as an associate professor at Tampere University recently and is now building his research group in Tampere. Paunonen’s group currently consists of two doctoral researchers and one postdoctoral researcher.

The position is located in the Mathematics Research Centre of the Unit of Computing Sciences at the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences. The Centre has 8 professors of mathematics, 5 university lecturers, 3 postdoctoral researchers (postdocs), and roughly 15 doctoral researchers (PhD students). The Unit currently employs 45 professors and 55 full-time teachers, and has a total of 440 staff members.
