Hotel Manager

The Hotel Manager leads the onboard hotel departments services and sales and is responsible for their development. You are in charge of guest services, housekeeping, and casino operations. On Silja Serenade, your duties also include management of the Commodore luxury cabin section. You will also plan, implement, and coordinate the hotel catering department’s maintenance work. You report to the ships superintendent and concerning safety, to the ship captain, and you act as evacuation manager in the ship’s safety organization.

As a supervisor, you will enthusiastically lead your team and encourage staff to participate in developing work, service, and results. An excellent hotel experience for our customer is created through collaboration between you, the section managers, and the whole team. – Customer orientation; you are satisfied when your customers are
– Suitable education and solid experience in similar roles
– Experience in management and supervisory roles
– Strong understanding of people and a coaching attitude
– Good IT skills and capability to learn various systems
– Ability to work productively as a team member and with different people
– Readiness for exceptional situations and handling them onboard
– Experience with change management and excellent interaction skills
– Fluent spoken and written Finnish, Swedish, and English; other languages are an advantage
– Readiness for international competence and health checks (passport, medical certificate for seafarers, Security Awareness certificate)
