Payroll Specialist
As our business continues to grow, we are strengthening our HR function and are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist for a permanent position at our Kokkola site. You will be responsible for the time tracking and payroll process end-to-end, in accordance with collective agreements, local agreements, and applicable laws and regulations. You will also handle statutory reporting related to payroll. You will act as the key user for the time tracking system Kellokortti and the payroll system Mepco. In addition, you will support the HR Manager with HR-related tasks when needed and work closely with Finance in matters linking payroll and financial administration.
Your workdays will vary, but the role also includes recurring and routine tasks. Hourly wages are paid every two weeks, and monthly salaries are paid once a month. You will be supported by a skilled and professional team.
What we expect from you:
Strong experience in payroll administration in a project-driven company, including related tasks and statutory reporting.
Good knowledge of the Technology Industry collective agreements and payroll-related legislation.
Willingness and ability to develop payroll processes and ways of working, and to adopt new technologies and digital tools.
Ability to manage the bigger picture while paying attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and at times under pressure.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a service-minded approach.
A responsible, proactive and structured working style, with strong attention to accuracy.
Understanding of the link between payroll administration and financial administration.
Deep expertise in Mepco payroll software.
Fluent Finnish and satisfactory Swedish skills.
Nice to have:
Experience with the Kellokortti time tracking system.
English language skills.
