Freelance English-Speaking Walking Tour Guide

Responsibilities:

Lead guided walking tours in central Helsinki for international visitors
Share engaging stories about Finnish history, culture, and lifestyle
Lead groups safely and professionally throughout the tour
Create a welcoming and interactive atmosphere for guests
Answer questions from travelers about Finland and Helsinki
Represent Nordic Signature Tours in a friendly and professional way

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older
Fluent English
Outgoing individuals with a love of Finnish culture, history, and society
Comfortable speaking to groups
Reliable and punctual
Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions (sun, rain, wind, or snow)
Experience in guiding, public speaking, theatre, or teaching
Familiarity with Helsinki landmarks and local history

Knowledge of Finnish history and culture is important, but training and tour materials will be provided.

Compensation:

€35 per tour (base payment)
Guides keep 100% of tips from guests

Schedule:

Tours typically last 1.5–2 hours
Flexible freelance scheduling depending on bookings
Tours usually begin at 11:00 and 14:00
Guides may lead one or two tours per day, depending on availability and bookings
Starting April 2026
