Seasonal bicycle mechanic
Period: 1.4.-30.9.2026
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00-17:00
Salary: Based on the collective agreement
We require a skilled bicycle mechanic with prior professional experience for our busy repair shop in downtown Helsinki. We are looking for someone who is friendly, mechanically minded, always striving to expand their knowledge, and who genuinely wants to do the best for our customers.
Language
The internal company language is English. Fluency in Finnish is not essential but it is beneficial. If you are a native Finnish speaker, it is important that you can communicate fluently in English.
Your Responsibilities
Repairing and servicing bicycles
Providing exceptional customer service
Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace
Required Workshop Skills
You must have prior professional experience because we work on a wide range of bikes every day. You will need to be able to service a coaster brake hub as well as bleed hydraulic brakes, and everything in between. We regularly work on electric bikes, extensive prior experience with them is beneficial but not necessary.
Customer Service Skills
Exceptional customer service is non-negotiable at Nice Bike. You will be required to communicate with customers in a friendly and engaging manner both face-to-face and through SMS and email. If you are not prepared to do that, then this is not the shop for you.
Other Skills
Keeping the shop clean and tidy is everyones responsibility. You will be required to maintain your own workbench as well as all of our shared spaces and the customer service area.
Good basic computer literacy is a must. We use paper tickets to identify each bike but everything else is managed using various software services. Training will be provided for the systems we use.

Our customers come from all over the world, have many different skin colours, love in many different ways, and identify how they want to identify. We respect them all and they are all welcome in our shop. We will not tolerate any discrimination.
