To further strengthen our capabilities and ensure progress toward our strategic sustainability goals, Luvata Oy is seeking a Sustainability Specialist who will focus especially on sustainability related social and governance topics and support the coordination of Group‑level sustainability initiatives.

This is a new position within the Luvata Group. The selected candidate will report to the Corporate Responsibility & Communications Director, and the role will be located at Luvata Group headquarters in the Pori Copper Industry Park, Finland, with a combination of on‑site and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Collecting and analyzing sustainability data from Luvata Manufacturing Units with special focus on social and governance metrics 
• Supporting the preparation of sustainability reports and disclosures, and in related audit and data assurance processes (e.g. CSRD, EcoVadis)
• Implementing and supporting Group-level sustainability projects and initiatives (e.g. value chain mapping and management, impact and materiality assessments)
• Monitoring stakeholder requirements, including regulations, legislation, customer expectations and owner guidelines, along with relevant standards and best practices
• Benchmarking company performance against peers
• Further developing tools, processes and reporting, to improve sustainability performance
• Supporting the preparation of training and awareness programs for employees
• Coordinating responses to sustainability related questions from internal and external stakeholders
   

The role and responsibilities may evolve together with the development of Luvata Sustainability Program Planet Partnership® and Sustainability Management System.

Profile

The ideal Sustainability Specialist for Luvata would be analytically strong, collaborative, globally minded professional with deep knowledge of ESG frameworks and a genuine passion for advancing sustainability. This person would thrive in a role that mixes data‑driven tasks, project coordination, stakeholder communication, and ongoing development of Group‑level sustainability practices.

Qualifications: 

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s in sustainability, business, social sciences, or similar
• Experience: 
  • 3+ years in ESG, Corporate Responsibility, data reporting, HR analytics, compliance or another relevant field
• Skills: 
  • Good cooperation and interpersonal skills, as well as an active and self‑initiated working style
  • Ability to collaborate and engage with a wide range of diverse stakeholders globally
  • Ability to coordinate projects and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage structured datasets and use online sustainability reporting portals
  • Ability to prepare good quality presentations, training materials and reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Considered an advantage:
  • Manufacturing, industrial field or supply chain exposure
  • Reporting knowledge of CSRD, ESRS, EcoVadis, GRI, or human rights frameworks
  • Experience in utilizing AI tools in sustainability work and/or reporting
  • Experience in visualizing data and using data analytics or visualization tools such as PowerBI
  • Ability to explain complex ESG topics clearly and create visual tools (e.g. dashboards)
