Senior Support Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Support Engineer with a hands-on approach to join our clients IT team.

Our team is responsible for providing exceptional IT support to our end users on-site and around the world. The team is managing our fleet of workstations, software licenses, meeting room AV and console development kits.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will provide IT support services to employees, contractors, and partners in collaboration with the broader support team:
-Respond to user requests and track task status promptly using a service management platform (e.g., Jira Service Management).
-Create and update user instructions and internal IT support documentation.
-Participate in both internal team communications and communications with end users.
-Assist in developing IT service management processes and IT support workflows.
-Identify areas for improvement and contribute as a project team member to internal IT support development initiatives.

Candidate Profile / Required Skills:
-Proven experience in technical support or an end-user-facing IT/engineering role, ideally in an enterprise environment.
-Comfortable working in large production environments, including managing access and permissions, IT hardware and software, and vendor relationships.
-Experience administering tools and platforms such as Intune, Active Directory, EntraID, and MS Office Online.
-Strong communication skills; able to convey ideas clearly and collaborate effectively. English is required, with additional language skills considered a plus.
-Motivated to take ownership of issues, identifying when short-term solutions are sufficient and when long-term fixes are needed.
-Information security–minded, able to assess the risks and impacts of changes being made.
-Thrives in team environments, sharing ideas and learning from colleagues.
-Experience contributing to process improvement and identifying areas for optimization.
-Collaborative, capable of working with colleagues across different departments.
-Investigative, proactive, and able to present ideas clearly and coherently.
-Committed to fostering a friendly, inclusive, and professional work environment.
-Organized and capable of working independently, with clear documentation of work.
-Bonus: basic scripting or automation skills.

– Are you confident assessing the security risks of IT changes before implementing them? *

Allocation: 100 %, might change depending on project need.
Assignment start date: As soon as a suitable candidate is identified
Assignment length: Initially a few months, with the possibility of extension.
Location: Helsinki (Espoo), Finland. Mostly on-site.
Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Finnish and Swedish a plus.
