Little Heroes International Kindergarten is an English-speaking early childhood education and care center with pre-primary school teaching. Our concept includes STEAM education, Mandarin Chinese language showers, and structured learning periods these form the foundation of our play- and learning-based year.

Our kindergarten follows the Little Heroes ECEC plan, which is based on the Finnish National Core Curriculum for Early Childhood Education and Care. You will work closely with ECEC teachers to provide high-quality care and pedagogy for children. You are also able to work independently and enjoy creating new activities that enrich the daily lives of Little Heroes children.

We are hiring two child carers for slightly different focus areas: one will specialise in parent collaboration (Child Carer – Parent Collaboration Focus), such providing support for parents and helping families access resources; the other will focus on pedagogical support (Child Carer – Pedagogical Support Focus), working closely with our pre-primary teacher in planning and implementing learning activities.

Our team consists of early childhood education teachers and carers from both Finnish and international backgrounds. We value diversity, equality, and an integrative approach to both work and teaching.

In addition to the qualities mentioned above, you:

-are a qualified child carer (varhaiskasvatuksen lastenhoitaja), holding a Vocational Qualification in Education and Guidance, a Vocational Qualification in Social and Healthcare, or another equivalent qualification. Foreign qualifications must be recognized by the Finnish National Agency for Education.

-have fluent spoken and written English skills. Other languages are considered an advantage.

-are willing to take responsibility and can work independently.

-are calm and consistent in your work and take pride in creating a warm and safe environment for young children.
