SENIOR DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST, FINANCE

We are now seeking a forward-looking new Senior Development Specialist to join our Finance Centralized Core Functions (CCF) team for a permanent position at our head office in Helsinki. Join our team and help us make a difference!

Your key contribution areas

As a Senior Development Specialist you will have an integral role in streamlining the processes of our finance department and guiding us towards a more agile approach. You will have a hands-on role in development projects and will be actively involved in the continuous improvement of our processes. You will identify development issues and both plan and implement changes and will be in a key position to help our teams take on new and improved ways of working. 

Your key responsibilities include: 

  • Developing operational processes, identifying issues and implementing changes
  • Actively supporting  team managers and guiding team members in development activities
  • Ensuring high-quality finance services by conducting regular internal audit activities within the CCF team and by being hands-on involved in developing the finance transactional handling processes
  • Ensuring all data is correct and reporting both on time and of high quality
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate audits, resolve issues, and to support on a variety of tasks

What helps you to shine in this role?

We are looking for a new team member who has the confidence to bring forward new ideas and challenge our existing ways of working – we are ready for a change! Excellent cooperation skills, a proactive can-do attitude and a willingness to drive change are integral for this role, and a keen interest towards new technologies such as AI will help you along the way. Previous experience in developing processes and practical experience in working in financial administration are also important in this role, alongside a quality- and service-oriented approach to work. 

To thrive in this role, you should have: 

  • Degree in Finance or other relevant field, or equivalent qualification or work experience
  • At least 3 years of versatile work experience in finance and project management and/or process development activities
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills 
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency in different IT systems (we use for example Microsoft D365, Jira, and Rillion)
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills, with other languages seen as a benefit 

Your key people

You will be working closely with our entire finance organisation, particularly our team managers in the Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, and Record to Report teams by supporting them in development projects. You will also be working with Business Accountants and various Lindström operating units, and will help guide our more junior team member to grow and shine in their daily work. Our finance organisation is dedicated and hard-working, but we also take care of each other and celebrate successes together. We are a supportive team and even during times of tight deadlines, we remember to have fun!
