We are looking for two lecturers to join the Faculty of Social Services and Health Care at LAB University of Applied Sciences. One lecturer will focus on public healthcare nursing and the other on paramedics.
We at LAB educate experts in the fields of social work, healthcare and education and provide continuing education for a wide range of professionals. Internationalization is strongly reflected in our strategy, and we are constantly developing new ways to promote internationalization. We place particular emphasis on promoting health and safety, sustainable renewal and a life of dignity.
In addition to teaching, your main duties as a lecturer in paramedics or public health nursing include guidance, research, development and innovation, as well as planning, developing and implementing both degree programs and continuing education. The tasks are varied and evolve in line with the profile of our faculty.
LECTURER IN PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING
We require
- a relevant higher university degree,
- completed pedagogical studies for teachers, which also can be completed after starting the work,
- extensive public health nursing knowledge and skills,
- innovation competency,
- fluent Finnish and English language skills.
LECTURER IN PARAMEDIC NURSING
We require
- a relevant higher university degree,
- completed pedagogical studies for teachers, which also can be completed after starting the work,
- extensive Paramedic nursing knowledge and skills,
- good IT and simulation skills,
- ability to work in the joint training ambulance (LABlanssi) of the Wellbeing service county (EKHVA) and LAB,
- fluent Finnish and English language skills.
We count as an advantage diverse work experience in the relevant field in performing the work tasks. Experience in project-based development, the ability to work in national and international networks and previous teaching experience are seen valuable.

Salary and other terms and conditions of employment are determined in accordance with the Collective Agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences. The total remuneration for the post will depend on the amount of previous professional experience and qualifications. The salary of a fully qualified person will be between approximately EUR 3725 and 5187/month. The probationary period is six months.
