Technical Engineer, Professional Hygiene (Southern Finland)
Do you feel comfortable in a manufacturing environment, understand hygiene needs of the food industry and have a commercial mindset to ensure our future growth? Would you like to create superior solutions and lead on environmental issues? If so, you could be part of Kiilto’s international Solutions Management team!
We are looking for a skilled, motivated and commercially oriented
Technical Engineer for our Professional Hygiene Business Area.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing international group. Kiilto’s Professional Hygiene business operates in seven countries. Among our well-known brands are Kiilto Pro, Erisan Pro, Antibac, Plum and DAX. Our total turnover in 2023 was approximately EUR 100 million. You will be a member of the Solutions Management team and will report to the Head of Solutions Management. Our locations are Turku, Lempäälä and Helsinki, so you are preferably based in southern Finland. The role requires regular travel.
In this newly established role, you’ll use your technical knowledge and understanding of chemistry and hygienic design to create valuable cleaning solutions. By working closely with the food industry, you’ll understand customers’ needs and challenges, allowing you to design technical solutions that fit their specific requirements.
You’ll manage projects from start to finish, system design, custom builds and commissioning, while working with partners. You will have projects in a wide range of cleaning methods, such as Cleaning in Place (CIP), Open Plant Cleaning (OPC), Conveyor Cleaning Systems, and Track Treatment Applications. Your commercial mindset drives you to make engineering sales a growing business inside Kiilto.
You will primarily focus on projects within the food industry, developing solutions involving automation, advanced chemical control and dosing, as well as monitoring systems to ensure seamless integration into production environments. Additionally, you will contribute to harmonising the equipment range, selecting future suppliers, and enabling remote monitoring and servicing to support long-term performance and reliability. While your main area will be the food industry, you may also collaborate on projects in other solution areas where engineering expertise is required.
It is a bonus if you have experience of improving cleaning processes to save resources while ensuring products are safe. You will work closely with our equipment partners.
You can be part of the Kiilto community if you meet at least some of the following criteria:
- Experience of technical needs in the food industry: at least five years of relevant B2B experience, preferably from the technical side of the food industry.
- A track record of project management: you have experience in leading customised technical projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to harmonise, evaluate and identify potential future suppliers: you understand their needs and can evaluate the range based on your experience.
- International experience: you have experience of successful co-working internationally with diverse teams.
- People skills: you enjoy collaboration and get a sense of achievement through succeeding together. You are good at creating networks and drawing on your existing ones.
- If you are open, energetic and have a can-do attitude, you’ll fit right in at Kiilto! You’re someone who passionately believes you can make a difference.
- Education: you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent.
- Languages: fluent English and preferably also Finnish.
