Do you want to manage a kitchen where quality, taste sensations and customer experience are at the center? Restaurant Akseli is now looking for a Kitchen Manager who wants to develop the restaurant’s operations and inspire the team to produce the best possible food experiences for our customers.
About us
– Restaurant Akseli is a cozy headquarters-level restaurant in Ilmala, located in the Aura office building. We offer high-quality and delicious lunches, diverse café products, and meeting and catering services daily.
There is also a café connected to the restaurant, serving handcrafted espresso-based coffees and savory and sweet delicacies.
Your duties as Kitchen Manager
As a Kitchen Manager, you are responsible for the overall operation and development of the kitchen together with the restaurant manager and the team.
Your tasks include:
-planning, organizing and developing kitchen operations
-managing cost efficiency (waste, sales margin, inventory turnover and purchases)
-planning customer-oriented menus and meeting and representation catering
-leading and motivating the kitchen team by example
-preparing and presenting high-quality and attractive dishes
We expect from you
-experience in kitchen management or responsible chef duties
-strong knowledge of preparing lunch food for a large number of customers
-ability to manage kitchen finances and processes
-an eye and passion for food presentation and visuals
-fluent Finnish and English language skills
-flexibility, efficiency and good ability to work under pressure
