Teaching Vacancy – ”People Development and Leadership”

HELBUS Helsinki School of Business seeks an experienced instructor to deliver the following MBA module, to be taught in September 2025-January 2026: “People Development and Leadership”(HRMM093). The position is part-time and fixed term and may be renewed.

The module is part of the University of Northampton MBA programme, delivered through a Transnational Education Arrangement by HELBUS in Helsinki. The instructor is expected to prepare, teach and assess the module, in close collaboration with the UoN module leader and HELBUS programme leader. The module’s content, description, learning outcomes, assessment criteria and schedule are determined by UoN. We require the following:

  • Teaching experience directly related to the module content at the required level (postgraduate Master’s), especially

    • strategic people development

    • global organisational strategy, design and development

    • leading people to optimise performance

    • EDI&R

  • Master’s or preferably Ph.D. in business or related field

  • Excellent English skills

Additionally, we greatly value the following:

  • A formal teaching qualification

  • Practice experience in the relevant area (global HRM)

  • Sound experience in planning, delivering and assessing courses and providing feedback to students

  • A teaching approach especially suited for mature students of middle or senior management level (such as the Harvard case methodology)

  • Proactive approach to supporting students and interactive teaching methods

  • Experience in the UK higher education sector

  • Structured approach with attention to detail
