Senior Engineer, Embedded Mechanics
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design mechanics for our embedded solutions and electronics devices. This role requires a strong experience in designing mechanics for custom electronics devices and solutions in applications ranging from large-scale power electronics products to miniature sensing devices and everything in between.
As part of our embedded team and together with our customers, you will implement and verify enclosures, internals, cabling and packages according to product requirements, ensuring functional, safe and compliant products for mass production. In this position, you are involved in implementing product development projects and/or carrying out delivery projects. Our customers are typically well known international Finnish and global companies in industry, energy and moving machines among other sectors.

The work can partially be done remotely but we expect you to be able to work in our Espoo or Tampere office or nearby customer locations, when needed.
Your main responsibilities
– Design and develop robust, functional and safe mechanical solutions for our embedded solutions.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of different hardware and software components.
– Drive the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to manufacturing and testing.
– Provide senior consultancy services to our customer, offering expert advice and solutions.
Your skills and experience
– Applicable education and 5+ years of experience of mechanics design applying different manufacturing technologies, like plastic and metal molding, sheet metal manufacturing and 3D printing.
– You know how to draft and model easily manufactured mechanics solutions in constrained and miniaturized applications taking requirements from users, electronics, manufacturing and regulations into account.
– Experience in concepting and new products from mechanical point of view.
– You are familiar with some of the main design tools, like Solidworks, Creo or Catia and working with PDM.
– Fluent in English with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
