Our school is looking for a permanent teacher (lehtori) in IB DP Mathematics.
Ressun lukio IB World School has a three-year study programme in English: the preparatory year followed by the two years of the Diploma Programme. Our students are 16-18 years old. Ressun lukio became an authorised IB school in 2002. Our IB DP graduates are highly motivated and have been admitted to universities throughout the world. With us you will work with active and talented students in an inspiring school community. We operate in renovated premises at Ruoholahdenkatu 23 and Kalevankatu 8-10.

Qualification requirements:
Qualification requirements are determined according to Decree 1998/986 (section 10).
The teacher must have a master’s degree which includes 120 ECTS credits in mathematics. Furthermore you need pedagogical studies for teachers 60 ECTS credits. You may include reports on these qualifications requirements in this application.
If you have completed your master’s degree outside of Finland, you need a degree recognition decision from the Finnish National Agency for Education by the end of the application period (26.1.2026). Read more: https://www.oph.fi/en/services/recognition-qualifications.

An applicant selected for a position must provide a medical certificate to prove suitability for the position in terms of health. A person hired in a fixed-term position must submit an extract from the criminal record as referred to in the Act on Checking the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002).
In addition, the position requires up-to-date teaching experience in IB DP Mathematics and teaching mathematics in English.
