Cloud & Automation Specialist (Azure)

We are looking for a Cloud & Automation Specialist (Azure) to join Cadmatic’s global Cloud and Customer Success Operations team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, operation, and automation of Cadmatic’s cloud environments, supporting our Design and PDM solutions used by global customers in demanding engineering and production environments.

You will work as a technically skilled specialist with a customer-oriented mindset, supporting both internal teams and selected key customers. The role combines cloud infrastructure, automation, and advanced technical support with close collaboration across product development, cloud operations, and customer success.

You will report directly to our Manager of Cloud Infrastructure & eProducts, Sakari Lähdetie, and can be based in Finland or the Netherlands. In Finland, we have offices in Turku, Tampere, Kotka, and Oulu, and in the Netherlands, in Groningen. We offer a flexible working model, giving you the option to work remotely or from one of our offices.

Key responsibilities

• Build, operate, and automate cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud
• Support and develop cloud environments used by Information Management, PDM and design solutions
• Provide 2nd and 3rd tier technical support for selected key customers for cloud platforms
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for Cadmatic colleagues in customer environments
• Participate in process and service development to improve reliability, security, and scalability
• Collaborate closely with product development, support, and customer success teams

Technical environment

You will work with a modern and varied technology stack. Experience in all areas is not required, but familiarity with several of the following is expected:

• Azure, GCP and AWS
• Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
• PowerShell, Python, Linux, Windows Servers
• Citrix and virtualized environments
• CAD or PDM
• Security, data, and automation technologies

What we expect from you

• A genuine willingness to help customers succeed
• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured working style
• Ability to script and automate routine and complex tasks in cloud environment
• Fluent verbal and written English and Finnish/German/Dutch
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Cloud and IT infrastructure architecture
  • Relevant certificates
  • Shipbuilding, VDI, PDM, or CAD environments
