Business Controller

We are looking for a Business Controller to join our Business Support function. In this role, you will monitor, analyze, and report costs across our operations, ensuring accurate forecasting and adherence to budgets. You will play a key role in supporting decision-making by delivering actionable insights into cost development and efficiency opportunities.

Additionally, you will help build a robust internal control environment that supports our long-term targets and ensures strong governance over cost-related processes. This position involves close collaboration with multiple functions to maintain cost discipline and drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen our financial performance.

You will report directly to our Director, Business Control, Arto Kastman, and be part of our global Business Control team. Your colleagues are based at our Turku office, which also serves as the company’s headquarters, and we would like you to work primarily from this location. At the same time, we offer flexibility to combine working from home with working at the office.

 What we except from you

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • 5+ years’ experience in business controlling and/or financial analysis. 
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. 
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with financial systems (ERP). 
  • Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and explain financial concepts clearly. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards. 
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal. 
  • Experience in internal control design and implementation, ideally in a listed company. 
  • Familiarity with governance frameworks and risk management principles.

What we appreciate:

  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView). 
  • Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards. 
  • Exposure to process improvement or lean methodologies.
