Avoimet työpaikat, Arte ry

Arte ry is a Turku-based artists association founded in 1960, whose members include visual artists, cultural researchers, curators, producers, and other cultural professionals. The association runs the contemporary art space Titanik and the Titanik A.i.R. residency programme for sound artists.

Over the past years, one of Artes key objectives has been to expand and challenge the possibilities for artists organisations to operate in todays art scene. The associations activities focus on securing the working conditions of artists, anti-racist work, and creating opportunities for underrepresented actors in the art scene. The contemporary art space Titanik is widely known for its ambitious programme of exhibitions and events, which extends beyond the gallery space, while Titanik A.i.R. brings several international sound artists to Turku every year.
