**Housekeeper / Nanny – Job Description**

The Housekeeper / Nanny is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, functionality, and overall comfort of the household while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the family home. The role combines professional housekeeping responsibilities with childcare duties and is intended to support the overall well-being of the family.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Housekeeping Duties

– Performing regular and thorough cleaning of all areas of the home, including washing floors, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and sanitary facilities, maintaining the kitchen, and ensuring a consistently high standard of cleanliness.

– Managing all aspects of laundry care, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and putting away clothing, bed linens, towels, and other household textiles.

– Making beds, changing bed linens, and maintaining bedding, bedspreads, and household textiles.

– Maintaining the overall organization and tidiness of the home, including wardrobes, cabinets, storage areas, and household spaces.

– Cleaning and organizing the kitchen, refrigerators, freezers, pantries, and cupboards, including checking expiration dates and disposing of expired food items when necessary.

– Assisting with light meal preparation, preparing snacks, grocery shopping, and other household errands when required.

– Monitoring household supplies and consumables, informing the employer of replenishment needs, and restocking items in accordance with the employer’s instructions.

– Organizing children’s rooms, toys, clothing, and personal belongings while maintaining a tidy and welcoming environment.

– Providing basic care for indoor plants, maintaining household textiles, and carrying out other routine household management tasks.

– Performing any other household management or housekeeping duties reasonably assigned by the employer.

Childcare (Nanny) Duties

– Providing attentive, safe, and nurturing care for the children in accordance with the parents’ instructions.

– Assisting children with daily routines, including dressing, personal hygiene, meals, naps, and bedtime preparation when required.

– Engaging children in age-appropriate educational, creative, and recreational activities, both indoors and outdoors.

– Supervising playtime and ensuring the children’s safety and well-being at all times.

– Preparing meals and snacks for the children and assisting with feeding when appropriate.

– Transporting or accompanying children to daycare, school, extracurricular activities, appointments, or other agreed destinations when required.

– Organizing and maintaining children’s clothing, toys, bedrooms, and personal belongings.

– Following the family’s routines, parenting preferences, and household rules while promoting positive behavior and healthy development.

– Monitoring the children’s health and well-being, administering basic first aid when appropriate, and promptly informing the parents of any illness, injury, or unusual circumstances.

– Performing any other childcare-related duties reasonably assigned by the employer.

The employee is expected to carry out all duties with professionalism, discretion, reliability, flexibility, and a high level of attention to detail. The role requires the ability to work independently, maintain strict confidentiality regarding the family’s private affairs, build a warm and trusting relationship with the children, and consistently uphold the highest standards of household care and childcare.
