Plating Line Operator, Bluefors, Helsinki

About the role

As a Plating Line Operator your main responsibility is to execute plating tasks with high accuracy and consistency and ensure to meet the quality standards. You will, among other things, follow work instructions and standard operating procedures, take care of documentation, prepare chemical mixtures based on instructions and ensure correct ordering and usage of chemicals. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized plating work area. In addition, you get to participate in R&D work and development of the product line.

We are looking for a proactive person who is willing to learn and develop and who has a good understanding of chemical engineering manufacturing or metallurgy.

Work tasks

This role involves the hands-on operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a new electroplating production line, including component preparation, chemical process management, and active participation in product development.

– Following work instructions and standard operating procedures
– Recording operational data and improvement points and taking care of the documentation
– Maintaining a clean, safe and organized plating work area
– Supporting different stakeholders

We are looking for

– A good knowledge of electroplating and chemical engineering or metallurgy
– Relevant study background
– Understanding working in production and manufacturing environment
– A willingness to learn and development-oriented approach to work
– Excellent collaboration and communication skills
– Good IT-skills (e.g. MS Office, Creo, CATIA)
– Ability to work in two shifts
– Fluent communication skills in English
