About the role

The Data Specialist plays a crucial role in enabling informed decisions across the organization. This position focuses on leveraging SQL expertise and cloud-based data warehousing to provide precise and timely customer lists, ensuring compliance and enhancing operational efficiency. The team works in a hybrid model, requiring a presence at the office at least three days a week.

Work tasks

This role involves ensuring data accuracy and efficiency within a BigQuery environment, navigating GDPR regulations, and responding to diverse stakeholder requests to empower data-driven marketing and service initiatives.
– Develop and execute efficient SQL queries in BigQuery for targeted customer lists.
– Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of customer data for list creation, adhering to GDPR.
– Collaborate with diverse teams to understand data requirements and deliver customer lists.
– Optimize SQL queries for efficiency and compliance.
– Identify and address data quality issues.

We are looking for

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Data Science, Marketing or other relevant.
– Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
– Knowledge of data protection regulations, such as GDPR.
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
– Proficiency in English

It is meritorious if you have
– Experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms (e.g., Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake); BigQuery experience is a plus.
– Experience with ETL processes and tools.
– Familiarity with data pipeline development.
– Proficiency in Finnish or another Baltic language

The selected candidate will undergo a security clearance and a drug test.
