We Are Hiring: Lead Test Automation EngineerWe are looking for an experienced and driven Lead Test Automation Engineer to join our Semiconductor ALD Business Unit at Beneq. In this key role, you will own and lead the design, development, and long-term evolution of test automation solutions for our Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) equipment.You will act as a technical leader within test automation, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system-level quality, reliability, and performance in a complex semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role offers a strong combination of hands-on technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic influence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and maintenance of test automation solutions using hardware-in-the-loop systems, creating robust system-level quality gates for software developmentTake ownership of integration testing, ensuring seamless interaction between system componentsCollaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers to define requirements and design effective test strategies and test casesLead performance and load testing to validate system robustness and scalabilityDrive continuous improvement by staying up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in test automationLead, coach, and mentor manual and automation test engineers, fostering high-quality standards and knowledge sharingRequired Skills and QualificationsEducationBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldExperience & Technical Expertise7+ years of hands-on experience in designing test plans, test cases, and test automation as part of larger software development projectsPrevious experience leading, coordinating, or mentoring test or software engineering teams in a formal or informal leadership roleStrong analytical thinking and a customer-focused mindsetProven expertise in test automation frameworks and advanced testing tools, particularly for Windows desktop applicationsSolid knowledge of C#, WPF, and unit testing frameworks and best practicesExperience with Ranorex or similar test automation toolsGood understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MSSQL)Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesISTQB Advanced/Expert certification or equivalent is considered an advantageExperience in machine control software testing is a strong plusSoft SkillsA structured, quality-driven, and diligent approach to workStrong documentation and technical writing skillsSolid understanding of software quality assurance principlesClear and effective communication skills in EnglishWhat We OfferA leading role in developing advanced ALD technology for the semiconductor industryA global, high-tech environment where your leadership has a direct impact on real productsA collaborative and innovative culture that values ownership, expertise, and continuous improvementCompetitive salary and a comprehensive benefits packageInterested?
