We expect you to have relevant work experience in mechanical design with 3D CAD software. Our Measurement Infrastructure team at Bluefors is developing millikelvin cryogenic systems for quantum computing. We deliver cutting-edge designs for next-generation quantum computing systems while driving innovation in cryogenic interconnect technologies. For example, in this position you will work in close collaboration with our Sales, Sourcing and Product Management as well as various manufacturing, assembly and testing teams in addition to external service providers and suppliers. We have a multicultural work environment with room to grow, where you can use your potential and develop your skills.Main responsibilities:Design precision mechanical solutions for cryogenic quantum computing systems using modern CAD toolsDeliver mechanical designs optimized for manufacturability and reliability at ultra-low temperaturesApply structured product lifecycle management practices (e.g., Windchill) to ensure traceability and qualityDocument technical progress and collaborate across disciplines (electrical, thermal, materials)Develop prototypes and iterate designs using simulation-driven workflowsEngage directly with elite quantum computing programs and research institutions globallyWhat we expect from youBachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (Industrial Engineering or closely related fields considered)+5 years of experience in product design for high-tech applications or precision manufacturingHands-on experience with CAD tools (CREO, SolidWorks, NX, or Autodesk a plus)Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill) and modern product development workflowsStrong spatial reasoning and ability to design parts under complex constraintsExcellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spokenExcellent learning skillsIndependent way of working and hands-on attitudeGood teamwork spirit and communication skillsWe also appreciateExperience designing sub-millimeter components and assembliesKnowledge of CNC machining methods and toolpath optimizationFamiliarity with electricalmechanical integration practices (connectors, pinouts, harness design)Understanding of additive manufacturing and advanced materials for cryogenic applicationsFamiliarity with simulation tools for thermal and structural analysis (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL)Positive and hands-on attitudeGood problem-solving skills and innovative mindsetPassion towards technologyPlease apply as soon as possible, on January 29, 2026, at the latest through our recruitment system at BLUEFORS.COM.
