We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer for our client, Orbis Systems Oy
We are seeking an experienced professional with strong design skills and the ability to turn ideas into feasible technical solutions. Your educational background could be, for example, a masters degree in mechanical engineering. You should have experience in designing PCB fixtures and mechanical solutions for the telecommunications or electronics industry.
You should also have a passion for developing mechanical solutions for cutting-edge telecommunications technologies on a global scale. In this role, you will take responsibility for technical leadership within your team, engage in discussions with customers, provide guidance and training, and contribute to the companys growth.
The primary working language in this position is English, so you should have strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Finnish language skills are considered an asset. The main location for this position is Oulu, Finland, but occasional international travel may be required.
Key responsibilities include:
– Creating detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and/or PTC Creo software
– Working closely with electrical, RF, and automation engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical structures
– Ensuring that mechanical designs meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements
We expect you to have:
– A relevant degree from a university or university of applied sciences (e.g., B.Eng. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering)
– Minimum of 10+ years experience in designing PCB fixtures and/or mechanical solutions for the telecommunications and/or electronics industry
– Fluent English skills
– Knowledge of artificial intelligence applications
– Understanding of mobile network technologies
– Expertise in RF and OTA technologies

Recruitment process
The estimated start date is March 2026, or earlier by agreement. This is a permanent position, and you will be employed directly by Orbis Systems Oy. In the first phase of the process, you will have the opportunity to respond to a video interview. Salary is between 4000€- 6000€. You can tell your salary expectation on your application.
