(Sr.) Full Stack Software Engineer, Vantaa

About the role

As our client company is undergoing a significant digital transformation and building a new agile software team, we are currently seeking for two Full Stack Software Engineers join their office in Vantaa. In this role, you will help shape how data, software, and connected systems to create new value for customers, making the world-leading water mist fire protection system even smarter and more efficient. This multidisciplinary team drives the journey toward cloud-based solutions, data analytics, and connected services, supporting both marine and land applications worldwide.

The role is based in Vantaa office with hybrid model of working. In addition to collaborating with local colleagues, this position requires travel to Poland office (Gdansk) approximately once a month. Please note that an existing, established right to work in Finland is a prerequisite for all candidates at the time of application.

Work tasks
– Design, implement, and maintain software components, APIs, and integrations for digital/cloud platforms, connecting systems and IoT devices
– Collaborate with product management, hardware, and system engineers to deliver digital features that enhance system performance and customer experience
– Participate in architectural and technical design to ensure security, scalability, and reliability
– Develop applications for limited connectivity environments, often deployed on Edge devices, primarily using Python
– Work collaboratively in agile, cross-functional teams to continuously improve digital products and development processes

We are looking for

– Extensive Full-Stack Experience (ideally 5+ years): Proven experience in the following programming languages and technologies: TypeScript, AWS cloud environment and Lambda functions, React, NextJS, GraphQL APIs
– Architectural Understanding: Demonstrated ability to participate in and guide technical design discussions, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability, with a deep understanding of software architecture
– IoT & Data Mastery: Strong motivation and experience working with IoT data architectures, protocols, and technologies like AWS IoT Core, MQTT, SparkplugB, DynamoDB & TimestreamDB
– Fluent English (Finnish is an advantage)
– Ability to work effectively in an agile environment with continuous delivery and DevOps practices
– Multicultural teamwork attitude, customer-driven mindset and good collaboration skills

While we expect full-stack capabilities, your personal strength can lean towards either the front-end or the back-end.
