We are now strengthening our Defence and Weapon Systems business area operations team and we are therefore looking for 

Director, Planning and Logistics 
 
 to take part in leading our Defence and Weapon Systems business units’ growth. 

In this role you will be responsible for end-to-end supply chain and material planning for DWS business, demand forecasting, supply planning, production planning & scheduling and delivery coordination. You will be leading team of 4 professionals: trade compliance, forwarding, demand planning and production planning. You are also responsible for logistics and freight and inventory management, material availability and development of our planning practices. You will ensure our supply chain readiness to meet program needs and project schedules. In this role you will be working closely throughout our whole DWS organization including sales and business development, projects, sourcing, engineering and portfolios and production. 

You can locate in Tampere or Hämeenlinna and will report to VP, Operations. 

 

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced operational planning, logistics operation and supply chain expert who has been creating, planning and developing S&OP and supply chain functions. You have prior experience in working in an international environment and possess strong skills in operational planning and supply chain management, team leadership, production planning and development. 

 

Key competencies and requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in leading S&OP, logistics operations and/or supply chain
• Ability to manage Supply Network planning and control
• Ability to control Trade Compliance procedures
• Strong operational execution capabilities
• Ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment
• Master’s degree or similar in a relevant field 
• Fluent in English and Finnish, other language skills as plus
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well both externally and internally
