Caregiver henkilökohtainen avustaja

Male IT professional 55 year-old male seeking reliable caregiver. Family environment, father of two.

This is a part-time on-site role for a Caregiver – henkilökohtainen avustaja – located in Helsinki, Kumpula. The primary responsibilities include heavy lifting, feeding, showering, cleaning, housekeeping, meal preparation, and running errands as needed. I have muscular dystrophy.

Qualifications

– Smart and physical skills needed – good command of your own body, fine motor skills required

– When busy, task prioritization in a family environment – a clear-headed person

– Effective communication (C1 CEFR / IELTS 8 preferred)

– fluent English speaker and interpersonal skills to support problem-solving and clear communication

– Basic caregiving skills, such as attentiveness, empathy, and a detail-oriented mindset

– General household management abilities such as cooking, cleaning, and inventory upkeeping

– Experience in caregiving or personal assistance is a plus

– Proficiency in Finnish also possible

– A valid driving license is needed

Summary of Tasks, including but not limited to:

– proximity help

– Feeding, i.e. drinks

– Heavy Lifting

– Washing up, Showering

– Bathroom help

– Ventilator support

Running errands, driving a car, shopping

Chores, cooking, vacuuming, cleaning, dishes etc.

Work 2-4 days/week: 15-25 hrs/wk

Pay 14-28 eur/hour

Work starts in June or July 2026.

Vacation 21st June – 3rd July 2026.
